Vision Sunday

A new year always arrives with a curious mixture of hope and exhaustion. We greet it with calendars freshly printed, and intentions freshly made, yet beneath our resolve we carry the quiet knowledge that willpower alone has never been enough to make us new. Scripture offers a gentler and deeper invitation. God does not call His people to reinvent themselves each January. He calls them to remain rooted in Him, formed together as His body, and sent into the world with His love.

This vision is not about individual ambition dressed up in religious language, nor is it about the church as a mere collection of parallel spiritual journeys. It is about belonging before doing, formation before action, and love before effectiveness. When a church is rooted in Christ, shaped together, and sent in love, faith is built, hope is given, and love is made visible in a world desperate for all three.
