Growing Up Together in Christ

Growth is one of the most misunderstood words in the Christian life. We often assume it meaning becoming busier, more confident, or more certain. Scripture offers a quieter and more demanding definition. True growth is measured not by visibility or speed, but by likeness to Christ, formed patiently within the life of the body.

Christian maturity is never a solitary achievement. Paul insists that we grow up into Christ together, joined and held together by love. When a church embraces this vision, faith deepens without arrogance, hope endures without illusion, and love becomes the defining mark of spiritual life.
