Rooted in Christ

Every year begins with the hope that something might finally change. We imagine that with enough resolve, better habits, and renewed effort, we might become sturdier Christians that we were before. The Christian life begins not with effort but with attachment.

To be rooted in Christ is to recognize that faith is not self-generated. It is received. When a church understands this, it stops chasing spiritual productivity and learns instead to cultivate spiritual depth. From deep roots come steady growth, enduring faith, and fruit that lasts beyond a single season.
