Finishing Well
There are many moments in life when a chapter closes with such weight that ordinary language feels inadequate. We sense that something more than a date on a calendar has arrived. An era ends. A season entrusted by God reaches its appointed close. Yet for the Christian, endings need not be tragedies. In Christ, a faithful ending can be one of the most beautiful things in the world.
This is my final message for you as your pastor. I would like to encourage us in the inexplicable task of finishing well. Not merely ending, but ending faithfully. Not merely closing a chapter, but closing it with gratitude, humility, love, and hope. Ten years at Family Worship Center now become part of the history of God's faithfulness. What has been built in Christ is not erased by transition. What was sown in love is not buried by time. And what God has done is larger than any one season, any one sermon, or any one shepherd.
