Rooted in Word and Prayer

Love anchors the Christian Life, but habits sustain it. If Week 1 reminded us that we are rooted in the love of the Father, Week 2 asks how those roots are nourished. Scripture and prayer are not religious accessories. They are streams of living water. Without them, even sincere faith begins to thin.

Psalm 1 describes a tree planted by streams of water whose leaf does not wither. The tree does not anxiously search for nourishment. It remains where life flows. In the same way, believers who root themselves in the Word and cultivate a life of prayer grow steadily, quietly, and fruitfully over time.
