Wide Reach Through Compassion
Apr 26, 2026 • Pastor Don
Compassion is rarely convenient. The parable of the Good Samaritan reveals that love often appears as interruption. The wounded man did not schedule his need. The Samaritan did not plan his delay. Yet in that unscripted moment, the mercy of God became visible.
A church deeply rooted in Christ will not merely inhabit ordinary places faithfully. It will respond to suffering attentively. Compassion is love that notices, love that moves, love that sacrifices. When believers allow themselves to be interrupted for the sake of mercy, their reach extends far beyond intention.
