Deep Roots, Wide Reach
Series-Wide Spiritual Growth Guide
This guide is designed to help you intentionally cultivate deep roots in Christ while extending a wide reach in love throughout the 8-week series. Use this personally, with your family, or in a small group setting.
1. Daily Rootedness Rhythm (Weeks 1–8)
Each day, practice the following simple pattern:
• Read: A short portion of Scripture (follow weekly texts).
• Reflect: What does this reveal about God’s character?
• Respond: Offer one specific prayer in response.
• Reach: Ask, 'How can I embody this today?'
2. Weekly Spiritual Focus
• Week 1 – Rooted in the Love of the Father: Spend extended time meditating on God’s love.
• Week 2 – Rooted in Word and Prayer: Establish a consistent daily Scripture and prayer habit.
• Week 3 – Rooted in Covenant Community: Intentionally deepen one church relationship.
• Week 4 – The Fruit of Deep Roots: Identify one fruit of the Spirit to intentionally cultivate.
• Week 5 – Wide Reach in Ordinary Places: Practice faithful presence in everyday routines.
• Week 6 – Wide Reach Through Compassion: Perform one deliberate act of compassion.
• Week 7 – Wide Reach Across Generations: Encourage someone younger or learn from someone older.
• Week 8 – A Church That Blesses the City: Pray intentionally for your city and seek its good.
3. Scripture Reading Plan
Each week, read the primary sermon text slowly at least three times. On one occasion, read it aloud. On another, journal key insights.
4. Prayer Prompts for the Entire Series
• Lord, deepen my roots in Your love.
• Shape my character to reflect Christ.

5. Community Engagement Practices

• What new habits should I continue beyond this series?
• How is God shaping our church for long-term faithfulness?
